Food review: Ham and jack omelette

Restaurant:
Rex Cafe (San Francisco)
Food description: Ham and jack omelette with onions and bell pepper served with home fries and toast
Food rating: 8 out of 10
Times ordered: 1

I am huge into breakfast. Instead of breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wish it could be breakfast, breakfast, breakfast and yes, more breakfast. The ham and jack omelette at Rex Cafe is a really great omelette, a perfect omelette has each component cooked perfectly without anything being under or over cooked which is a lot harder than you may think considering that it probably takes longer for the onion to cook than for the cheese to melt. This omelette was hearty and firm, the eggs neither too runny or too rubbery. The onions were cooked perfectly and deliciously without being charred and the peppers were still crunchy enough without being raw. The omelette comes with home fries which are decent but not spectacular, and really excellent toast. I was almost tempted to order an additional order of toast because it was so good. One of the best breakfasts I've had in San Francisco yet.

Nobody say you can't have breakfast anytime. Years ago while in Calgary a friend and I searched for French Toast after 9PM. We were just in the mood for it.
