Food review: Honey-lime chicken and avocado sandwich

Restaurant:
Boxed Foods Company (San Francisco)
Food description: Honey-lime marinated grilled chicken breast on focaccia bread with tomato, red onion, haas avocado, garlic-citrus mayo and greens
Food rating: 7 out of 10
Times ordered: 3

Boxed Foods Company is one of my favorite sandwich places in the city mainly because they use quality seasonal ingredients and showcase them at their peak. This is one of my favorite sandwiches from them, I'm not the biggest fan of chicken usually but I find the chicken in this sandwich moist, flavorful and delicious. Boxed Foods has produce delivered fresh every day and you can tell in the sandwiches, the tomatoes were delicious and freshly crisp, perfectly at their peak, the red onion was sweet and didn't overpower the sandwich. They also used fresh baked breads and the focaccia was delicious, firm but not hard and complemented the delicate flavors of the chicken and tomato perfectly. My one gripe with the sandwich was the avocado, I know it's not peak avocado season so this may be why but the sandwich just did not have very much avocado and the little it had was mushy and flavorless. I kind of wish they had left it out instead of putting it in even if it is in the sandwich description. And as a bonus, the greens that came with the sandwich are always dependably delicious. I highly recommend this sandwich especially if you are a fan of chicken.
